1. Agreement to terms
By downloading or using the Biscuit app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
2. Educational use only — not veterinary advice
Biscuit is an educational tool, not a medical or veterinary service.
The information provided by Biscuit — including food safety ratings, breed identifications, and care tips — is for general educational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified veterinarian before making decisions about your pet's health, diet, or care. In an emergency, contact your vet immediately or call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Biscuit offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Weekly and Annual). Paid subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Free trials: If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
- Refunds: All purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly — contact Apple Support for refund requests.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code
- Use the App to harm, mislead, or defraud others
- Upload content that infringes third-party rights or is illegal
5. Intellectual property
All content, features, and functionality of Biscuit — including the name, logo, design, and underlying AI models — are owned by Biscuit and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated results will always be accurate. Pet health decisions should always involve a qualified veterinarian.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Biscuit and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App before the change takes effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Biscuit operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
